It's summer, and my affinity for southern food and drink is in full swing. I can already tell my mother's mint plant is going to suffer a lot for the sake of my afternoons on the porch with mint iced tea. (As a side note, I am secretly delighted by the fact that mint syrup bears a strong resemblance to absinthe. Fully as pretty and slightly less poisonous)
